Mortimer detached, wanderd the beaches alone. He taught a crab juggling and they became friends, but a wave took the creature from him. That same day, the glue on the back of the poster gave and somewhere in a cabin the Three Gorgeous slipped out of mind. Mortimer donated his hat to the nearest funny-looking cactus, which watched his last trick: fading into atoms and space.
